Sloan turned 7 on April 24th & we had her party on the 26th. She also requested a castle cake, but her's wasn't going to have any pink on it. She approved of all chocolate though.
We also had about a ton of cupcakes, hot dogs, chips, fruit & punch. We rented a bounce around & the kids played in it all day in spite of our rainy weather.
At one point all the rain that had collected in the tarp over the bounce around fell through & landed right on top of Evie. She wasn't thrilled with this.
Will drinking from a big cup. Look at that expression! I swear, it was just punch.
Sloan's candles are lit.
Nate sang his heart out!
She blew them out well!

April 11th, 2008 - Tennis Block Party
The facility where I coach swim team also has a good tennis program. They do a "Block Party" every now & then that allows the little ones to try it out. I was able to take the kids this time & they had a good time.
Evie struggled a bit in connecting with the ball.
Even though they used larger balls. She tried so hard though.
Sloan hit the ball that came to her so quickly that I couldn't even get a picture. She had a BLAST & wants to take tennis lessons now. We will just have to put those in line with Soccer, Gymnastics, Horseback Riding, Softball & we can never leave out the Swimming & TaeKwon Do that she already does. UGH!

April 2nd, 2008 - Sloan gets her Blue Belt!
This is Sloan's form and stars for her new belt (not that mommy is very good about getting them put on). This means that she behaved well in school during this period & she can have 3 stars on her new belt - which is the top ranking.

The girls carried palm branches during our Palm Sunday service at church.
You see Mrs. Angie trying to get everyone quiet so we can start.
