Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas from the Peacocks!

We decided that we owe it to our children to be able to wake up Christmas morning at their own home, open their presents from under our tree. We missed our extended family, but do feel that this was good for us.

This is what it looked like in our home while the kids were opening presents.

Christmas eve the girls got to open 3 presents each; a robe, a blanket, and booties to keep them warm Christmas morning.

Evie checking out the big tree where Santa left his gifts for the kids Christmas morning.

Evie opening her stocking from Santa.

Sloan with her stocking stuffed with goodies.

Nate had to help Will open his presents. He's been very sick again this year.

Wishing all of you a season of hope, health and peace!

December 19th, 2007 - Christmas Parties!!!

Evie & Sloan both have their Christmas parties at school this week. Evie's is the 19th & Sloan's is the 20th, they day they get out of classes for the semester.

Here is Evie at her class Christmas party making her sticker Nativity.

Sloan on the monkey bars at Jacqueline's house where the girls' cookie exchange was hosted.

She made it all the way across. I think she may be stronger than me!

December 17th, 2007 - Santa visits Evie's dance class

Santa visited Evie's dance class for the last day before they let out until 2008.

The girls performed their dance for him.

December 13th, 2007 - Sloan's Christmas Program

Since the girls go to a Christian school we had the wonderful blessing this year of a precious Chritmas program. The girls all had to wear clothing as if they were in Bethlehem.

Sloan's shoes didn't look like they were from Bethlehem...

Sloan at her desk doing activities to pass the time before her class goes on.

Sloan's class lining up to go to the program. Here you can see how small she is compared to her class.

Sloan is in the back, left corner. She really doesn't like these kind of performances so we thought she did very well.

Our Christmas Decorations are up!

We are a little behind this year, but the decorations are up (finally).

This is the tree we got from the Christmas Tree Plantation. We still need more decorations for it. It's all Peacocks, silver & blue.

This is our red & gold Poinsettia tree. We've had this tree up for years so there are lots of decoration on it.

This is Evie's pink & purple tree. We've started allowing the kids to get at least one new ornament of their own each year. Her's has pink lights & pink star.

Sloan's tree has green, maroon & blue on it with green lights and blue star.

This is our mantle. We still need to get stockings. I think I will make them for next year - starting in January of course or it will never get done!

And here's Nate putting on the star. This tree is really big. He's standing on a step-ladder & we still sacrificed one ornament to the star.

December 1st, 2007 - Lazy Acres Christmas Tree Plantation

This year we got a live Christmas tree from Lazy Acres Christmas Tree Plantation in Chunky, MS. It was a bit of a drive, but so fun for the family.
They send you out to the trees with a saw in hand. Once you have your tree down they load it up in a "sleigh" and tow you back with a tractor.

They have little activities and photo opportunities for the kids.

Here the girls are posing as elves.

Will & Nate make good elves too.

Sloan standing with the Christmas Tree.

And Evie with the Christmas Tree.

Will also shows us how tall he is with the Christmas Tree.

Sloan and Evie as Mr. & Mrs. Clause. Evie had trouble not getting her head stuck in this one.

Evie on Noah's Arc. Lazy Acres also has a little petting zoo.

Will and the turkey are having a "stand off". What you can't tell is that Will's making turkey noises at the turkey. It was so funny. That turkey did not know what to think of Will.

Sloan & Evie wanted to feed the friendly goats. They were more like pushy dogs with horns.

Thursday, November 22nd, 2007 - Thanksgiving night in College Station

We celebrated Thanksgiving day at the DeGeorge home. We went out after Thanksgiving dinner in College Station since so many of our college friends were in town for the t.u. game.
