The girls started summer league swim team today with the Cypress Lake Sea Lions. It was so cute.
The girls are getting ready to start, waiting in line. Sloan is in a phase where she's afraid of most anything. I thought Sloan would end up "swimming down" an age group, but Evie ended up "swimming up" an age group. Very nice for mommy, less back & forth & time wasted waiting.
Evie is ready to take her first "start".
Now Sloan is ready to take her first "start". Sloan was a little scared this morning before she got started. Now she can't wait to go back.
After they practiced seated "starts" then they moved on to starts from the deck. Evie took right to everything.
Look at Evie!
Sloan was still a little scared - evidence: the closed eyes start.
She did it anyways! We will get through this phase!

Another busy day!
Yesterday we had a lot of activity. Sloan had her final Taekwondo test last weekend and today she graduated from the Tiger Cub program into the Junior program at the academy. She's very excited about this progression to the classes with the big kids.
In addition to the graduation ceremony Evie had buddy day at ballet. Sloan decided she would try it out. Sloan was so excited to find one of her friends from school was also trying the class out. I don't think Sloan will be dropping any of her other activities to persue dance classes but it was worth getting a picture of my tomboy all dressed in her dance clothes.

Last day of school & the birthday weekend
Sloan is a FIRST GRADER! She had her official last day of school on Friday. School is out for the summer.
This is the weekend for birthday parties! We have 4 that we have been invited to and 3 that we are planning on going to. I was so sad that I forgot my camera for Blake's party on Friday. His family has such a great backyard & all the kids had SO much fun.
I did remember my camera for Will Travelstead's party on Saturday. They have a home on the lake and Will's party was very cool for the kids as well. Nate & the girls burried our Will in the sand & he really seemed to like it. Will also took a ride in the swing with his first sno-cone, he liked that a little too.
We missed one party today as there was just too much to do. Sloan had her final Taekwondo test today as a member of the Cub program. She will graduate from the Cub program into the Junior program on Wednesday - since she's now 6 you know. I am sure I will have more pictures from that. We have one more birthday party tomorrow, and then the rest of next week should be blessedly slow - for us.

Kids play
Anyone ever want to tell your kids to fight it out? We got the girls these "Soccer Boppers" - now they start to laugh as soon as they start to fight. It's kinda funny.
Remember the Slip n Slide?

We are here!
I have several friends now who do this blog thing... I have spent months now amazed at Lisa's eloquence (really she's amazing). I have spent weeks amazed at the things the Goodrums are doing. I sit back and think my life isn't that interesting and I am surely not that well-spoken about it. But, I figure, so many people are interested in how things are going here in Mississippi that I may as well get started. During my swim this morning I thought - I do send out a lot of emails, updating all of our friends on how things are going, how Will is growing, what the kids are doing, all with pictures too. This seems like as good a place as any to get that information out to all, probably with a little more reularity too. So I will get you all caught up on the last few weeks - they have been really busy...
Central Mississippi A&M Club Muster
I was the Muster Chair for this year and the event went off without a hitch. We had a pretty good turn out & a lot of enthusiasm for the growth of our club.
