Sunday, August 12th 2007 - We are at the lake again!

Yes, after church on Sunday we went back out to the lake & played.

This is Nick on Scott's jet ski.

This is Evie, I managed to get her to wear a hat most of the day. She would really rather not, but I hate for her to get too much sun.

Sloan is good about wearing her hat. She lost her Aggie hat so she wears my Heatwave hat from the triathlon - hey, it is green.

Here's Nick on the wakeboard.

Another shot of Nick on the wakeboard - now outside the wake.

Scott brought along his rope & we spent some of the day towing 2 at a time. Here are Nate & Scott on their boards behind the boat. Ali did a GREAT job driving for them as I was occupied with Will.

Nate catching a little air.

The boys spent a lot of time wrestling. Their goal was to get Nate off the boat. I think they eventually managed, but it was very hard - Scott & Nick went in before Nate did.

Nate & Nick - can you feel the love?

Well, there goes Scott...

Still trying to get Nate in.

Here's Ali on the wakeboard.

She's doing great. Especially since she spent so much time skiing today too. I wonder if she was sore?

Nate & Nick taking a break from all the wrestling.

Not for long though. Boys.

By this time Sloan was starting to worry that they would tip the boat over. Yes, our boat is really leaning - I did not take this pic at an angle.

Evie took a turn on the board with Scott.

As usual, she loves it. We still can't get Sloan out there anymore. Sloan did take a ride on the jet ski, so did Evie.

Here's Ted on the jet ski. We like to call him Farmer Ted - I don't know if he get's it though - he may be too young.

You know I honestly don't know if this is Ali or Nate on the jet ski, but they obviously hit the wake just so that they were covered in water.

Overall, another great fun day on the water.

Saturday, August 11th, 2007 - Party at the Peacocks! (oh wait, this is normal)

Yes, typically after a long day on the boat we will gather at someone's home to eat & hang out. Our house is easy, after all, we have room for the little ones to lay down when it's time for bed.

This is Katie-did, showing off her best dance moves.

And Dani showing what she can do. You see Dave here hooking up the WII to our TV. After Fergie was done with her concert, people began to play video games.

Here's Sloan, she dressed the part & is throwing out her fireman style rain hat to the crowd (all the parents sitting on the sofa), she's also wearing a gymnastics outfit, I have stopped wondering what's going through her mind, we just let her be creative.

Will was even doing a cute little dance.

Dani & Lizzie - so cute! They love for us to hook up the camper & let them sleep out there, it's like they have their own apartment.

On this wild Saturday night I think everyone was in bed between 10:30 & 11pm - it was a crazy party.

Saturday, August 11th, 2007 - Another Saturday on the Lake

This weekend we launched our boat from our friend Scott's house. He lives on the water, very near us really, and somehow we had met at the lake, but hadn't really gotten to know him until last week. It was really nice to be able to leave the boat there as well, saves us SO much work.

The water as we leave his subdivision. It's very pretty with all the water lilly's in bloom.

Scott took out his jet ski while he waited on some other friends to arrive on Saturday. It was fun to watch him jump the wake from our boat.

This is Sam, she learned to board over the 4th of July. She's doing really well. She's also a great babysitter & our friend Charlie's niece.

This is Lizzie (Elizabeth). She's also doing really well. She's really motivated to keep it up, which is how you get better on the board.

Yes, there are really pics of me boarding too. It was a choppy weekend, so nothing too fancy. But, you know what they say... A bad day on the lake is better than a good day at work.

Will hangs out in the car seat that Nate has made to work in our boat. It's really nice not to have to worry about him too much.

Friday, August 10th, 2007 - A Full House!

We have a very full house today! These pics don't really reflect that, but our house is full. I once said that I didn't want ANY children, then I met Nate, then I started to say "who knows" how many children we will have, then I thought I wanted 4, then after Will we thought we were done. Well, tonight we have 5 children in our house - yes, 5. And, we survived. I don't know if we would survive another pregnancy, but having a full house was quite normal feeling really.

Kyla & Max trusted us with their 3 month old baby boy - Keaton. As well, Lizzie (Elizabeth) decided she wanted to stay with us tonight too. It was fun. We ate, watched movies & held babies.

Will did not like not being the center of attention & the baby. As those of you who know us can probably tell by his color - he's just had a seizure in this pic. He really does love the vacuum though, it made him feel much better.

Will decided to help daddy do the dishes after dinner.

He & Nate are so proud of him being a "big boy".

Friday, August 10th, 2007

Today was the first day of school! Both the girls were SO very excited about it & quite anxious as well (they both had some Tums before we left the house this morning).

They were so happy riding in the car on the way to school.

Sloan was the first to get out, she has a more strict dress code this year. Plain shirts that are tucked in & length restrictions on the shorts & skirts (not that we have a problem with that with Sloan).

First Graders get out of the car on their own & walk in on their own. So BIG!

Evie got unbuckled & ready to be let out & led in at the Kindergarten.

She's very happy to be going to school this year!

The pick up round was very different. It was 99 degrees here (so the heat index had to be at least 105 degrees). My car came SO close to overheating, I thought we weren't going to make it off of campus. I know that the carpool line will get better as the year goes on & plus it won't be this hot forever. I still think we are going to get the car checked out... We are creeping up on 100,000 miles now.

Thursday, August 9th, 2007

The girls had Meet the Teacher today.

Evie will be in Mrs. Sosebee's class for K4.

Sloan will be in Mrs. Smith's class for First Grade.

They are both very excited. It was a very hot day to be walking across the MRA campus though, but we made it & I even made it to my meeting in time!

August 8th, 2007 - My girls are tired.

It has been a long summer. Swim Team, TaeKwondo, Ballet Camp, Cheer Camp, and don't forget the heat! School starts this week and my kids are TIRED! The girls rarely take naps, but today they did!

Evie is passed out.

Even Sloan sleeps & really, she never takes naps anymore.

Our week looks like this:
Monday at 4:30pm - Sloan has TaeKwondo
Tuesday at 6pm - Kindergarten Orientation
Thursday at 11am - both girls have Meet the Teacher where we drop off school supplies & all the necessary forms, I have a Junior League meeting at noon, Sloan as TaeKwondo at 4pm, I have to drop off 2 pans of Lasagna I have made at the Ronald McDonald House, and we have Elementary Orientation at 6pm. Nate & I went to dinner after all of that - we figured Sam was nice enough to watch the kids for us, we may as well take advantage of it Thursday!

August 2nd - Evie at Cheer Camp

Evie had Cheer Camp at MRA this week. She was VERY enthusiastic about it.

Evie likes to be at the front - along with so many of the other Kindergarten girls.

Evie does the dance.

Evie poses.

Evie loves her coach & the older Cheerleaders. Coach Reeves has the microphone, in the middle of all the little girls.

Evie with her certificate at the end.

August 1st, 2007 - Our air went out!

Yep! It's August 1st and our air conditioning is OUT!!! Nate borrowed some fans from some of his Jeepin' friends. The girls thought the fans were fun!

Sloan lets her hair blow in the breeze!

Evie too!

And Evie likes the way the fans make her voice sound!

Will even got into letting his hair blow in the fans.

I don't know that our dogs were thankful to be let in the house on the days our air was out.

It turns out our compressor was beyond repair & we had to get a new one. We spent those days away from home as much as possible. We went to the pool, we ate out (which we rarely do), and the girls spent the night with Katie, Danielle & Elizabeth & we (me, Nate & Will) slept in the camper because it had working A/C.
