We celebrated Thanksgiving at the Peacock house on Tuesday this year as that is when most of us could gather together.
The kid's table was still missing Jace and Natalie.
We all gathered upstairs for baths, games and movies.

Sam snuggles with his momma - Aunt Jenny to my kids.
Evie and Madey Claire are like peas in a pod. All pink & girlie!

November 19th, 2007
Nate had planned on hunting on Sunday (yes, the morning after Charity Ball) but the weather was bad. So Nate took Sloan to Garwood on Monday to hunt with David (Nate's brother) and Sam (David & Jen's son). They shot 4 geese which we ate for dinner that night.
Sam & Sloan are helping Nate prepare the geese.
Will and Grandpa are supervising.
After dinner all the kids had to get clean so we ended up with 4 in the tub. I don't think one more could have fit!

Saturday, November 17th, 2007 - Junior League Charity Ball
We (barely) made it in time to attend the Junior League of Bryan-College Station's Charity Ball. I have a special bond with this League as it's the one I first joined. I loved getting to go to the Charity Ball and see everyone, we had a great time!
This year's ball was "For Your Eyes Only" - going with the 007 theme in honor of 2007.
Here are some League Members providing us with some evening entertainment!
This was the "Fever" number.
Wendy getting ready to head out for her Sally O'Malley skit. She was SO funny!
Shasta and Aaron Horn as Spartan Cheerleaders.
I am amazed Shasta was able to talk Aaron into this!
Gerry Brown on the guitar. This act was called Cow Bell.
If any of you are Saturday Night Live fans you will understand the theme here...

Saturday, November 17th - We travel to Texas
We have packed up the kids, a ton of stuff, left the dogs with friends, have another friend watching the house & we are headed to Texas. What are we thinking?
This is early in the trip, the kids are still smiling.
We don't have room to allow the kids to sit anywhere but the middle row. They normally have room to spread out. And, by the end of the week our portable DVD player will break so the trip home is very quiet.

Friday, November 16th, 2007 - K4 Play
The K4 class had their Grandparent's Day and Play this week. Evie was a star and her group performed Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star. The play was A Walk Through Mother Goose Land this year, and all the kids did so well. It was very cute.

Monday, November 12th, 2007 - A visit to MRA
Before they left the Sproule Clan got to stop by the girls' school. We went to Chapel and visited both the girls' classrooms.
Elementary Chapel is a big & busy event every Monday morning.
Will was actually pretty entertained by the singing, but everything else just made him want to walk off.
Will enjoyed his ride around campus on Uncle Chad's shoulders.

Saturday, November 10th, 2007 - Sloan tests for her Green Belt
Sloan has finally achieved enough stripes to test for her Green Belt. This is a major milestone for her. Once she achieves her Green Belt she will need to get all of her equipment and begin to spar.
Sloan sits and waits patiently for her name to be called to test.
Sloan showing the testers her Form.
Sloan passed her Form in a single try.
These are One-Steps.
She performs these with a Black Belt performing moves that she must block, evade or counter.

Saturday, November 10th, 2007 - The Sproule's invade Mississippi!
The Sproule clan came to Mississippi to visit us in November.
Me with Emily before we went to dinner. Notice my hand still in the soft cast... Ugh!
Me with Chad & Emily. The girls have such high heels on that it makes Chad look not-so-tall. He's really quite a bit taller than we are...
We ate dinner at Nagoya in Madison. Our favorite Japanese place here in MS.
After dinner we came back to the house, got comfy, played games & watched The Princess Bride.
Emily & Will were playing on the floor.

Sunday, November 4th, 2007 - I broke my hand...
Yep, this is my hand. Sunny (our yellow lab) got out of the backyard, she was so excited that she gave me a really big hug (that's dog-speak for she tackled me - hard). I hit the ground & now have a "boxer's fracture" in my left hand. My fingers are fine aside from the fact that they were completely bent back. I have 2 weeks in this splint & should be fine by Thanksgiving. I am sure it will do more damage to my ego than anything else.
